My first reaction with Feilin was "Hey, that's like FH's Chun-Li!" and it even blew me when I read the news that Data East really got sued by Capcom for resembling SF2.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;When I then played Karnov's Revenge, it's true that it's like Super Fighter's History Champion Edition, with 2 new characters, bosses playable, and even hidden moves that don't require any power to use. Still, there are a lot of resemblances between characters, and I realized that Capcom retaliated with their own set of possible character references.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Ray &amp;amp; Mizoguchi&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Basically the Ken and Ryu of FH, they actually deviate from the usual fighting norm of 2 balanced characters with identical moves, and also, Ray doesn't have a potent dragon-punch move, not if you will count his wheel kick. Mizoguchi is extremely punishing in the hands of an expert. His portrait does remind me of a younger Sonny Chiba (and his loud karate screams).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Feilin&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Of course, the main girl of FH attributed to Chun-Li. Her falling armor also reminds me of Honey/Candy in Fighting Vipers which came out way later. Her Mantis Punch will be extremely familiar for players of a certain Capcom game...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Matlok &amp;amp; Jean&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Both attributed to Guile, as both have mainly charge-based moves, with Jean even resembling Vega.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Marstorius &amp;amp; Ryoko&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;FH's Zangief, along with his extremely huge grab range. Can be quite cheap in higher levels. In my opinion, SF 3's Makoto is Capcom's reply to FH's and even World Heroes' Ryoko.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Samchay&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Sagat's projectiles and knee kicks along with Adon's frail-looking physique.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Clown &amp;amp; Karnov&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Clown resembles Blanka's rolling moves as well as Bison's stomp, and Karnov behave much like Honda and Dhalsim for the fire breaths and belly flops.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Yungmie&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;It's like a threesome offspring between Kim Kaphwan, Mai Shiranui and Chun-Li. Yungmie has Mai's head (check out the hair ornament), Chun-Li's thighs, pose (even the leggings) and Kim's Taekwondo prowess.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Lee&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;The most extremely interesting character for me, aside from the silliness that his pants' knees are his weak point (like in Bruce Lee films where his clothes get torn). It is possible that Capcom's Dan can also be attributed to the similarity in facial features. Not only that, there's the Lee twins in SF3: Yun and Yang. Shadi here. Finally, after a grueling update, I've opened the portal and the new fansite for SNK games. I've been experimenting on the linking between sites so I decided for now that clicking on a shrine's logo opens a new tab, so you can open all shrines at once in a single browser window. Main page looks a bit shabby for now, but I'll go to that later. Only the blog button works, link page will follow, and I don't know yet of the forum. I'm also moving the shoutbox to the portal for short updates, while complete updates will be found here in the blog.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Since most of you have been used to my layout of the Capcom site, I've made the new fansite to mirror most of the format of that Capcom site. Onto the game shrines then...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;CAPCOM Arcade Classics Museum&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;I've checked most of the Capcom shrines in my harddrive and noticed that there are still a lot of corrections I have to do, so I'll have to clean those up. Then I'll upload them one by one in my new host server. In the meanwhile, I'll leave the Capcom site on the gamespy server until I have reuploaded at least the entire beat-em-up collection. I'm afraid I have to close down the shrines that still needs updating like Magic Sword, Mega Twins, etc. or maybe even a few of the preview shrines that remained dormant. I'm still looking forward to doing the Power Fighters and CvS2 sites once the site reopens.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;SNK Fighting Collection&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;At last, my new fansite. I still kinda hate my fakeshot on the frontpage, but it gives you A VERY HUGE idea what to expect first thing. Being a huge fan of that story arc, I couldn't resist creating that. Anyway, I admit the homepage is also quite craptastically simple. I'll add the link page and history page in the navigator in the future as well. Just enjoy the Psycho Soldier lyrics for the time being, it's there for a reason.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;p&gt;The highlight of the site is the Orochi theme. To reference the eight-headed serpent and the 8ketsu (Hakkesshu), I've opened EIGHT new shrines with a few bonuses. Here we go.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;KoF '94&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt; No, the envelope does not burn up like in the intro. :p Still lacks a few the "Super Deformed" Super Move cards ala Super Barcode Wars in SF.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;KoF'95&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt; Sadly, my game is quite messed up, so I couldn't make new snapshots and image rips, forcing me to reuse some of my images from my old KoF 1995 website. Still, it's still '94 in terms of format.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;KoF'96&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt; The overhaul in the game means overhaul in the format, since I also consider this as the "2nd book" in the Orochi arc (The Rugal saga as the 1st book). Knowing SNK, even more fancy move name translations!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;KoF'97&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt; Complete with all the Orochi bosses. Perhaps this is the first KoF I've played EVER. I'm not quite familiar with the characters yet at the time except the Fatal Fury ones. I got clammy skin when I reached Riot Leona, and though I managed to get past the Real Orochi team, Orochi practically pwned my team.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;Fatal Fury&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;Art of Fighting&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since both games play very much like the first SF and Red Earth(few player characters, and most are non-playable bosses), the shrines are inspired from their layouts.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;Samurai Shodown &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;A complete illustrated list of special moves, a a few detailes about sword clashes, and even the postman!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;Double Dragon&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Even though the movie was quite disappointing, Technos managed to make a good game out of it, even referencing the 9 Hand Gestures, and even the shadow attack of Shuko in the movie which is straight from the doppelgangers in DD2.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;BONUSES &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;SvC Chaos &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Since I now have an SNK fansite, I'll be transferring the shrine from its former home. Also to avoid redundancy and save disk space.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;KoF'98 &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Ah yes, my all-time favorite intro... I don't have the guts yet to start redoing the shrine, but I assure you that it will be a pretty humongous site. It's a slugfest! :)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-family:arial;" &gt;&lt;p&gt;KoF playlist &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;As you browse the shrines, sing with the intros! The playlist contains roughly 70 tracks of pure KoF OST, listed from intro then the teams in order in the select screens. I've quite a lot of favorites there, esp. the 94 China, Japan and Blacknoah themes; 95 Psycho Soldier; 96 Hero, Yagami, Krauser, Kagura, and Goenitz themes and 97 Orochi-related themes. 98 contains mostly remixes but my most favorite is the 2nd Hero theme, a country-song like mix of the 94 Esaka theme.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyway, enjoy the new shrines!
